Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) fell ill to the extent that he lost consciousness, and his head was in the lap of one of his wives (Umm Abdullah bint Abi Rumah). (She let out a loud scream and began to weep.) Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) could not say anything at that time, but when he regained consciousness, he said: "I disassociate myself from the act from which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) disassociated himself. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) expressed his disapproval of women who, in times of grief, wail loudly, shave their heads, or tear their collars."
