Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave the example of a miser and a charitable person: they are like two men wearing iron armor that covers their hands, chest, and neck. Whenever the charitable person gives charity, his armor becomes spacious, extending over his fingers and covering the marks of his feet. But whenever the miser intends to give charity, his armor clings tighter to him, and every ring remains fixed in its place. Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that he saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) indicating towards his blessed collar with his fingers, showing that you will see him trying to widen it, but it will not become spacious.
