53 صحيح حديث عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَيُّ الذَّنْبِ أَعْظَمُ عِنْدَ اللهِ قَالَ: أَنْ تَجْعَلَ للهِ نِدًّا وَهُوَ خَلَقَكَ قُلْتُ: إِنَّ ذَلِكَ لَعَظيمٌ، قلْتُ: ثُمَّ أَيّ قَالَ: وَأَنْ تَقْتُلَ وَلَدَكَ تَخافُ أَنْ يَطْعَمَ مَعَكَ، قُلْتُ: ثُمَّ أَيّ قَالَ: أَنْ تُزانِيَ حَليلَةَ جارِكَ
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that I asked the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), “Which sin is the greatest in the sight of Allah?” He replied, “That you set up a partner with Allah while He alone created you.” I said, “Indeed, that is truly the greatest sin. Then which (sin) after that?” He said, “That you kill your child out of fear that he will eat with you.” I asked, “And after that?” He said, “That you commit adultery with your neighbor’s wife.”
