Sayyiduna Bara’ bin ‘Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that a companion (Sayyiduna Usayd bin Hudayr, may Allah be pleased with him) recited Surah Al-Kahf (in prayer). In the same house, a horse was tied, and the horse began to jump and prance. (Sayyiduna Usayd, may Allah be pleased with him, did not pay attention to it and entrusted it to Allah.) After he finished the prayer with salam, he saw that a piece of cloud had cast its shade over his entire house. He mentioned this incident to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), so he said: “Keep on reciting the Qur’an, for this is tranquility (sakinah) which descended because of the Qur’an (or he said) was descending.”
