Hadith 448

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entered the mosque and saw a rope tied between two pillars. He inquired, "What is this rope?" The people replied, "It has been tied by Sayyidah Zainab (may Allah be pleased with her); when she becomes tired (while standing in prayer), she hangs onto it." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "No, this rope should not be here; untie it. Each of you should pray as long as he feels inclined, and when he becomes tired, he should sit down."
