429 صحيح حديث عَائِشَةَ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ، أَيُّ الْعَمَلِ كَانَ أَحَبَّ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتِ: الدَّائمُ، قُلْتُ: مَتَى كَانَ يَقُومُ قَالَتْ: كَانَ يَقُومُ إِذَا سَمِعَ الصَّارِخَ
Hazrat Masruq (may Allah have mercy on him) says: I asked Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), "Which deed was most beloved to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)?" She replied, "That which is done consistently (no matter what good deed it is)." I asked, "When would he stand (for prayer at night)?" She said, "When he heard the crowing of the rooster."
