412 صحيح حديث عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ لاَ يَجْعَلَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ لِلشَيْطَانِ شَيْئًا مِنْ صَلاَتِهِ، يَرَى أَنَّ حَقًّا عَلَيْهِ أَنْ لاَ يَنْصَرِفَ إِلاَّ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَثِيرًا يَنْصَرِفُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said that no person should allocate any portion of his prayer to the devil in such a way that (after concluding the prayer) he makes it necessary for himself to always turn to the right side. I have often seen the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) turning to the left side.
Brief Explanation
When making a permissible (mubah) act obligatory is considered to be a share of Shaytan, then if someone declares an act that is disliked (makruh) or an innovation (bid‘ah) to be obligatory, and torments the servants of Allah for not performing it, then what kind of dominance does Shaytan have over such a person—this should be understood.
