407 صحيح حديث عَامِرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، أَنَّهُ رَأَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى السُّبْحَةَ بِاللَّيْلِ فِي السَّفَرِ عَلَى ظَهْرِ رَاحِلَتِهِ حَيْتُ تَوَجَّهَتْ بِهِ
Sayyiduna Amir bin Rabi’ah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that I myself saw that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to offer voluntary prayers during travel at night on his mount, facing in whatever direction it took him.

Brief Explanation
Hadith Narrator: Sayyiduna ‘Amir ibn Rabi‘ah radi Allahu anhu is counted among the Sabiqun Awwalun (the earliest converts). He migrated to Abyssinia (Habashah) with his wife Layla bint Abi Khaythamah. Then he migrated to Madinah. He participated in Badr and all the other battles. Khattab had adopted him as a son. In the Battle of Jabiyah, the standard of Sayyiduna ‘Umar radi Allahu anhu was in his hand. He narrated numerous ahadith. He passed away in 35 AH, a few days after the martyrdom of ‘Uthman radi Allahu anhu.
