Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would raise his blessed head (from bowing), he would say: "Sami' Allahu liman hamidah, Rabbana wa lakal hamd," and then supplicate for certain people by name, saying: "O Allah, save Walid bin Walid, Salamah bin Hisham, 'Ayyash bin Abi Rabi'ah, and all the weak Muslims (from the disbelievers). O Allah, crush the people of the tribe of Mudar severely, and inflict upon them a famine like that which occurred in the time of Yusuf (peace be upon him)." In those days, the people of the eastern tribe of Mudar were among the opponents.
