Hadith 352

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the call for prayer was given and the rows were straightened. The people were standing when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came towards us from his chamber. When he stood on the prayer mat, he remembered that he was in a state of impurity (junub). So he said to us, "Remain standing in your places," and he went back. Then he performed ghusl (ritual bath) and returned to us, with drops of water dripping from his head. He pronounced the takbir for prayer and we performed the prayer with him.
