Sayyida Umm Hani bint Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that on the occasion of the conquest of Makkah, I came to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I saw that he was performing ghusl (ritual bath) and his daughter Fatimah was holding a curtain. I greeted the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with salam. He asked, "Who is it?" I replied, "Umm Hani bint Abi Talib." He said, "Welcome, Umm Hani!" Then, when he finished bathing, he stood up and performed eight rak‘ahs of prayer, wrapping himself in a single garment. When he had finished the prayer, I said, "O Messenger of Allah, my mother's son (our master Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, son of Abi Talib) claims that he will certainly kill a certain man, even though I have granted him protection. He is the son of so-and-so of (my husband) Hubayrah." The Noble Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Umm Hani, the one to whom you have granted protection, we have also granted him protection." Umm Hani said that this was the Duha (forenoon) prayer.
