Hadith 1883

Narrated Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him): I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "All of my Ummah will be forgiven except those who commit sins openly. And among committing sins openly is that a man does something (sinful) at night, and though Allah has concealed his sin, in the morning he says, 'O so-and-so! I did such-and-such evil deed last night.' The night passed while his Lord had concealed his sin, but when morning came, he himself exposed the covering of Allah."
