1880 صحيح حديث جُنْدَبٍ قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: مَنْ سَمَّعَ سَمَّعَ اللهُ بِهِ، وَمَنْ يُرَائِي يُرَائِي اللهُ بِهِ
Hazrat Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever seeks fame as a result of a good deed, Allah will make his evil intention known to everyone on the Day of Resurrection. Similarly, whoever performs a good deed to show off to people, Allah will also show him to everyone on the Day of Resurrection.
