1751 صحيح حديث عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رضي الله عنه، قَالَ: قَدِمَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَبْيٌ، فَإِذَا امْرَأَةٌ مِن السَّبْيِ قَدْ تَحْلُبُ ثَدْيَهَا، تَسْقِي إِذَا وَجَدَتْ صَبِيًّا فِي السَّبْيِ، أَخَذَتْهُ، فَأَلْصَقَتْهُ بِبَطْنِهَا وَأَرْضَعَتْهُ فَقَالَ لَنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَتَرَوْنَ هذِهِ طَارِحَةً وَلَدَهَا فِي النَّارِ قلْنَا: لاَ وَهِيَ تَقْدِرُ عَلَى أَنْ لاَ تَطْرَحَهُ فَقَالَ: للهُ أَرْحَمُ بِعِبَادِهِ، مِنْ هذِهِ بِوَلَدِهَا
Hazrat Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that some captives were brought to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Among the captives was a woman whose breast was full of milk, and she was running around. Then she found a child among the captives, immediately took him to her belly, and began to nurse him. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said to us, "Do you think this woman could throw her child into the fire?" We replied, "No, as long as she has the power, she would never throw her child into the fire." Upon this, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Allah is more merciful to His servants than this woman is to her child."
