Hadith 1747

Hazrat Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah is more pleased with the repentance of His servant than that person who camps in a dangerous place, with his riding animal along with him, and on it are his food and drink. He lays his head down and sleeps, and when he wakes up, his riding animal is gone. Eventually, due to hunger and thirst or whatever Allah wills, he is greatly distressed, and he thinks to himself that now he should return home. When he turns back and sleeps again, and then raises his head from this sleep, he finds his riding animal standing before him with his food and drink. So imagine how happy he would be.
