1675 صحيح حَدِيثُ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ رضي الله عنه، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إنَّ الصِّدْقَ يَهْدِي إِلَى البِرِّ، وَإِنَّ البِرَّ يَهْدِي إِلَى الجَنَّةِ، وإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَصْدُقُ حَتَّى يَكُونَ صِدِّيقًا. وَإِنَّ الكَذِبَ يَهْدِي إِلَى الفُجُورِ، وَإِنَّ الفُجُورَ يَهْدِي إِلَى النَّارِ، وَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَكْذِبُ حَتَّى يُكْتَبَ عِنْدَ الله كَذَّابًا»
Hazrat Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, truthfulness leads a person towards righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise. And a person continues to speak the truth until he is recorded with Allah as a truthful one (Siddiq). And indeed, falsehood leads to wickedness, and wickedness leads to Hell. And a person continues to lie until he is written with Allah as a great liar.
