1674 صحيح حَدِيثُ أُمِّ كُلْثُومٍ بِنْتِ عُقْبَةَ، أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ الله صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: «لَيْسَ الكَذَّابُ الذِي يُصْلِحُ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ، فَيَنْمِي خَيْرًا، أَوْ يَقُولُ خَيْرًا»
Hazrat Umm Kulthum bint Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: He is not a liar who tries to make peace between people and, for that purpose, conveys something good or says something good related to it.
Brief Explanation
Hadith Narrator: ... Hazrat Umm Kulthum bint Uqbah radi Allahu anha accepted Islam in Makkah. She is the daughter of the enemy of the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, Uqbah ibn Abi Mu'ayt. She migrated on foot during the time of the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah. Her brothers, Walid and ‘Amarah, pursued her but were unsuccessful. In Madinah, she married Hazrat Zayd ibn Harithah. After his martyrdom in the Battle of Mu'tah, she married Hazrat Zubair. She is the maternal half-sister of Hazrat Uthman.
