Hadith 1660

1660 صحيح حَدِيثُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رضي الله عنه، أَن رَسُولَ الله صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِيَّاكُمْ وَالظَّنَّ، فَإِنَّ الظَّنَّ أَكْذَبُ الْحَدِيثِ. وَلاَ تَحَسَّسُوا، وَلاَ تَجَسَّسُوا، وَلاَ تَنَاجَشُوا، وَلاَ تَحَاسَدُوا، وَلاَ تَبَاغُضُوا، وَلاَ تَدَابَرُوا. وَكُونوا عِبَادَ الله إِخْوَانًا»
Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Avoid suspicion, for suspicion is often a false statement after investigation, and do not pursue searching for others’ faults, do not probe into anyone’s faults unnecessarily, do not artificially raise prices against one another, do not envy, do not harbor malice, do not backbite, but rather, all of you should be servants of Allah and live as brothers among yourselves.
