Hadith 1620

Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that Hazrat Hassan bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) sought permission from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) to satirize the polytheists (Quraysh). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "But I am also from their family." Upon this, Hassan (may Allah be pleased with him) submitted, "I will separate you (in poetry) as clearly as a hair is separated from flour."
