Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that after Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him), I did not hear the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) say about anyone that he would sacrifice himself for them. I heard that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was saying, “Shoot arrows (O Sa’d, may Allah be pleased with him), may my parents be sacrificed for you.”
