Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that some things were asked from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) which he disliked. And when such questions were asked excessively, he became angry. Then he said to the people: (Well now) ask me whatever you wish. So a man asked: Who is my father? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Your father is Huzafah. Then another man stood up and asked: O Messenger of Allah! Who is my father? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Your father is Salim, the freed slave of Shaibah. Finally, Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) saw the state of the blessed face of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! We repent to Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, from asking such things which displease you.
