Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked questions to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and when they asked too many questions, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) became displeased. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) ascended the pulpit and said: "Today, whatever you ask me, I will tell you." At that time, I looked to my right and left and saw that all the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) had wrapped their heads in their clothes and were weeping. There was a man who, if he quarreled with anyone, would be attributed (as a taunt) to someone other than his father. He asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Who is my father?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Huzaifah." After that, Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up and said: "We are pleased with Allah as our Lord, with Islam as our religion, and with Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) as the true Messenger. We seek refuge with Allah from tribulations." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have never seen a day in matters of good and evil like today. Paradise and Hell were presented before me, and I saw them on this wall."
