1518 صحيح حديث عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: صَنَعَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَيْئًا، فَرَخَّصَ فِيهِ فَتَنَزَّهَ عَنْهُ قَوْمٌ، فَبَلَغَ ذلِكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَخَطَبَ، فَحَمِدَ اللهَ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: مَا بَالُ أَقْوَامٍ يَتَنَزَّهُونَ عَنِ الشَّيْءِ أَصْنَعُهُ فَوَاللهِ إِنِّي لأَعْلَمُهُمْ بِاللهِ، وَأَشَدُّهُمْ لَهُ خَشْيَةً
Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) did an act and also permitted the people to do it, but some people considered it better not to do it. When this was reported to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he delivered a sermon and after praising Allah, he said: "What is the matter with those people who refrain from that act which I do? By Allah! I know Allah better than all of them and I fear Allah more than all of them."
