Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If wealth comes from Bahrain, I will give you handfuls and handfuls of it. But no wealth came from Bahrain until the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away. Then, when wealth came from there after his passing, Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) announced that whoever has any promise from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) or the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) owes anyone anything, let him come to us. So I went and said that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had said such and such things to me. Upon hearing this, Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) gave me a handful. I counted it and it was five hundred. Then he said: Take double of it as well.
