1472 صحيح حديث أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: إِنَّمَا مَثَلِي وَمَثَلُ النَّاسِ كَمَثَلِ رَجُلٍ اسْتَوْقَدَ نَارًا، فَلَمَّا أَضَاءَتْ مَا حَوْلَهُ، جَعَلَ الْفَرَاشُ وَهذِهِ الدَّوَابُّ الَّتِي تَقَعُ فِي النَّارِ يَقَعْنَ فِيهَا، فَجَعَلَ يَنْزِعُهُنَّ وَيَغْلِبُنَهُ، فَيَقْتَحِمنَ فِيهَا فَأَنَا آخُذُ بِحُجَزِكُمْ عَنِ النَّارِ وَهُمْ يَقْتَحِمُونَ فِيهَا
Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: My example and the example of people is like that of a person who lit a fire. When it illuminated the surroundings, moths and insects that fall into the fire began to fall into it, and the one who lit the fire started pulling them out of it, but they did not come under his control and kept falling into the fire. In the same way, I am holding your backs and pulling you out of the fire, but you keep falling into it.
