1442 صحيح حديث عبد الله بن مسعود قَالَ: بَيْنَا نَحْنُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي غَارٍ، إِذْ نَزَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ: وَالمُرْسَلاَتِ فَتَلَقَّيْنَاهَا مِنْ فِيهِ، وَإِنَّ فَاهُ لَرَطْبٌ بِهَا، إِذْ خَرَجَتْ حَيَّةٌ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " عَلَيْكُمُ اقْتُلُوهَا " قَالَ: فَابْتَدَرْنَاهَا فَسَبَقَتْنَا، قَالَ: فَقَالَ: " وُقِيَتْ شَرَّكُمْ كَمَا وُقِيتُمْ شَرَّهَا "
Hazrat Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that we were with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) when Surah "Al-Mursalat" was revealed to him, and we were learning it from his blessed mouth. Meanwhile, a snake appeared. We moved forward to kill it, but it escaped and entered its hole. Upon this, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It has been saved from your harm, and you have been saved from its harm."
