Hadith 1427

Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that during the illness of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), we began to give him medicine in his mouth, but he gestured to forbid us from giving the medicine. We thought that sometimes a patient dislikes taking medicine, so this was also a result of that (so we insisted). Then the Prophet said that everyone in the house should have medicine put in their mouth in front of me, except Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), for he was not involved with you in this action.
