Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that a Jewish woman brought poisoned meat of a goat to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) ate some of it (but immediately said that it contains poison). Then when the woman was brought and she admitted to having put poison in it, it was suggested: Should she not be killed? But the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: No. Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I always felt the effect of that poison in the palate of the Prophet (peace be upon him).
