Narrated Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that Umm al-Mu'mineen Sawda (may Allah be pleased with her), after the command of veiling was revealed, went out to relieve herself. She was a very heavy-set woman, and those who knew her could not fail to recognize her. On the way, Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) saw her and said, "O Sawda! By Allah, you cannot hide yourself from us; look at how you have come out." She said that Sawda (may Allah be pleased with her) turned back immediately. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was in my room at that time, eating his dinner, and there was a bone with meat in his hand. As soon as Sawda (may Allah be pleased with her) entered, she said, "O Messenger of Allah! I had gone out to relieve myself, and Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said such and such to me." She said that revelation then began to descend upon him, and after a short while, that state ended, and the bone was still in his hand; he had not put it down. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "You have been permitted (by Allah) to go out for your needs."
