Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that (on the occasion of his marriage) the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Do you have carpets?" I replied, "Where would we have carpets? (We are poor people.)" Upon this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Remember, a time will come when you will have fine carpets." Now, when I tell her (my wife) to remove her carpet, she says, "Did not the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) tell you that a time would come when you would have carpets?" So I let them remain there (and stay quiet).
