Hazrat Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded us to do seven things and forbade us from seven things. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded us to visit the sick, to follow funeral processions, to say "Yarhamuk Allah" in response to a sneezer, to accept the invitation of one who invites, to spread greetings of peace, to help the oppressed, and to fulfill the expiation after taking an oath. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade us from gold rings, from drinking in silver (utensils) or (he said) from drinking in silver vessels, from using Mayathir (a cushion of silk placed on saddles or mounts), from using Qassi (a cloth made in the outskirts of Egypt in which silk threads were also used), and from wearing silk, dibaj, and istabraq.
