1305 صحيح حديث سَهْلٍ، قَالَ: لَمَّا عَرَّسَ أَبُو أُسَيْدٍ السَّاعِدِيُّ، دَعَا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَأَصْحَابَهُ فَمَا صَنَعَ لَهُمْ طَعَامًا وَلاَ قَرَّبَهُ إِلَيْهِمْ، إِلاَّ امْرَأَتُهُ، أُمُّ أُسَيْدٍ بَلَّتْ تَمَرَاتٍ فِي تَوْرٍ مِنْ حِجَارَةٍ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ، فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنَ الطَّعَامِ أَمَاثَتْهُ لَهُ، فَسَقَتْهُ، تُتْحِفُهُ بِذلِكَ
Hazrat Sahl bin Sa’d Sa’idi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that when Hazrat Abu Usaid Sa’idi (may Allah be pleased with him) got married, he invited the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and his companions (may Allah be pleased with them). On that occasion, the food was prepared by his bride, Umm Usaid (may Allah be pleased with her). She herself served it before the men. She had soaked some dates in a large stone bowl overnight, and when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) finished eating, she herself made its syrup and presented it to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to drink as a gift.
