Hadith 125

Sayyiduna Abbas bin Abdul Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), "What benefit did you give to your uncle (Abu Talib), as he used to support you and get angry for your sake?" He replied, "(Because of this) he is only in the shallowest part of Hell up to his ankles. If I had not interceded for him, he would have been in the lowest depth of Hell."
