1237 صحيح حديث أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رضي الله عنه، قَالَ: قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَيُّ النَّاسِ أَفْضَلُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : مُؤْمِنٌ يُجَاهِدُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ بِنَفْسِهِ وَمَالِهِ قَالُوا: ثُمَّ مَنْ قَالَ: مُؤْمِنٌ فِي شِعْبٍ مِنَ الشِّعَابِ يَتَّقِي اللهَ وَيَدَعُ النَّاسَ مِنْ شَرِّهِ
Hazrat Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that it was asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Which person is the best?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "A believer who strives in the way of Allah with his life and wealth." The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked, "And after him, who?" He replied, "A believer who chooses to live in a mountain valley, fears Allah, and keeps people safe from his own evil by staying away from them."
