1210 صحيح حديث أُسَيْدِ بْنِ حُضَيْرٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ، قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَلاَ تَسْتَعْمِلُنِي كَمَا اسْتَعْمَلْتَ فُلاَنًا قَالَ: سَتَلْقَوْنَ بَعْدِي أُثْرَةً، فَاصْبِرُوا حَتَّى تَلْقَوْنِي عَلَى الْحَوْضِ
Hazrat Usaid bin Hudair (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that an Ansari companion said: O Messenger of Allah! Appoint me as a governor just as you have appointed such-and-such person. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: After me, others will be given preference over you in worldly matters, so be patient until you meet me at the Pond.
