Hadith 1164

A man from the tribe of Qais asked Hazrat Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him), “Did you people flee and leave the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) during the Battle of Hunain?” Hazrat Bara’ replied, “But the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) did not move from his place. The people of the tribe of Hawazin were archers. When we attacked them, they retreated, then we became busy with the spoils of war, and eventually, we had to face their arrows. I myself saw that the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) was mounted on his white mule, and Hazrat Abu Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him) was holding its reins. The Prophet (peace be upon him) was saying: ‘I am a Prophet, there is no lie in this.’”
