Hadith 1146

Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the wealth (gardens, etc.) of Banu Nadir was among those things which Allah Almighty granted to His Messenger (peace be upon him) without fighting. The Muslims did not make their horses and camels run to acquire them, so this wealth was exclusively for the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). From it, he (peace be upon him) would give his noble wives their annual maintenance, and the remainder he would spend on weapons and horses so that there would always be readiness (for jihad) in the way of Allah.
