Hazrat Ya'la bin Umayyah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that I went with the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) in the army of hardship (the expedition of Tabuk). To me, this was my most reliable good deed. I also had a laborer with me. He quarreled with another person, and one of them bit the other's finger. When the other pulled his hand away forcefully, the front teeth of the biter also came out and fell. Upon this, that person brought his case to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not order any retribution for the broken teeth, but said: Would he have left his finger in your mouth for you to bite? The narrator said: I think you also said, just as a camel chews.
