Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that a man from the Ansar tribe made his slave a mudabbar (a slave who is to be freed after the master's death), and he had no other property except this slave. When this was reported to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), he inquired, "Who will buy this slave from me?" Naeem bin Nahham (may Allah be pleased with him) bought him from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for eight hundred dirhams.
