Hadith 1029

Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that on the occasion of a battle, he was coming riding on his camel, which had become exhausted. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by and struck the camel and prayed for it. As a result, the camel began to move with such speed as it had never done before. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Sell it to me for one uqiyah." I refused, but upon his insistence, I sold it to him, with the condition that I could ride it until I reached my home. When we reached Madinah, I presented the camel to him, and he paid its price as well. But when I was about to leave, he sent someone after me to call me back. When I came, he said, "I had not really intended to take your camel; take your camel, it is your property, and I have not taken back the price."
