In the explanation of Allah Almighty’s command {کُلُّ اُمَّۃٍ تُدْعِی اِلٰی کِتاَبھَا} (Every group will be called to its record of deeds), Imam Zuhri narrates from Ata bin Yazid Laithi, who narrates from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that people asked: O Messenger of Allah! Will we see our Lord on the Day of Resurrection? The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do you face any difficulty in seeing the full moon on the night of the fourteenth, when there are no clouds before it? The Companions said: O Messenger of Allah! Not at all. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In the same way, you will see Allah Almighty on the Day of Resurrection. Allah Almighty will gather all people and say: Follow whatever you used to worship in the world. So, those who worshipped the moon will follow the moon, those who worshipped the sun will follow the sun, and those who worshipped other false gods will follow them. The people of this Ummah will remain standing, and among them will be hypocrites. Allah will come to you in a form other than the one you recognize and will say: I am your Lord. They will say: We seek refuge in Allah from your evil; we will stay here until our Lord comes to us. When our Lord comes to us, we will recognize Him. After that, Allah Almighty will come to them in the form they recognize and will say: I am your Lord. They will say: Indeed, You are our Lord, so they will follow Him.
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A bridge will be set up over Hell, and I will be the first to cross it. On that day, all the Prophets and Messengers will be saying out of fear and dread: O Allah, save us! O Allah, protect us! On that bridge will be hooks like the thorns of Sa‘dan. Have you seen the thorns of Sa‘dan? The Companions said: Yes, O Messenger of Allah! He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, only Allah knows the size of those thorns. People will be snatched away according to their deeds; some will perish just like that, and some will be destroyed in pieces. Until, when Allah Almighty has finished judging between His servants and intends to show mercy to some of the people of Hell who testified to the Oneness of Allah, He will command the angels to bring them out of Hell. The angels will recognize the people of Tawheed by the marks of prostration. Allah Almighty has forbidden the Fire to consume the marks of prostration. The angels will bring them out; they will have been burnt and turned into charcoal. The water of life will be poured over them, and they will grow as seeds sprout in the foam of a flood. Among these people, one man will remain. He will turn to Allah Almighty and say: O my Lord! The air of Hell has harmed me, and its intense heat has burnt me, so turn my face away from the Fire. He will keep supplicating until Allah Almighty says to him: If I grant you this, will you ask for anything else? He will say: By Your honor, O Allah, I will not ask for anything more. So Allah Almighty will turn his face away from the Fire. But after that, he will say: O my Lord! Bring me near the gate of Paradise. Allah Almighty will say: Did you not promise that you would not ask for anything more? O son of Adam! How treacherous you are with your promises! But he will keep calling upon Allah and supplicating to Him until Allah Almighty says: If I grant you this, will you ask for anything more? He will say: By Your honor, O Allah, I will not ask for anything more. He will make a firm promise to Allah Almighty, so Allah will bring him near the gate of Paradise. When he reaches near the gate of Paradise, Paradise will become visible and vast for him. When he sees the comforts and joys inside Paradise, he will remain silent for a while, but eventually he will say: O my Lord! Admit me into Paradise. Allah Almighty will say: Did you not promise that you would not ask for anything more, and you have made firm promises to Me in this regard? He will say: O Lord! Do not deprive me of Your blessings among Your creation. He will keep calling upon Allah and supplicating to Him until Allah Almighty laughs at his words. When Allah Almighty laughs at his words, He will permit him to enter Paradise. When he enters Paradise, it will be said to him: Wish for whatever you can wish for, ask for whatever you can ask for. So he will ask abundantly. Then it will be said to him: Ask for more, so he will ask for more, until his desires are exhausted. At that time, Allah Almighty will say to him: Whatever you have asked for, all of it and as much more is given to you.
When Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated this hadith, Sayyiduna Abu Sa‘id (may Allah be pleased with him) was also sitting nearby. He did not make any change in what he narrated, except regarding the last part, Sayyiduna Abu Sa‘id (may Allah be pleased with him) clarified: I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Whatever you have asked for, you will get that and ten times more. Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I remember it as: Allah Almighty will say to him: Whatever you have asked for, you are given this and as much more. Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) also said: This will be the last person to enter Paradise.
Hadith 13337
. (Second chain) There is a similar hadith, except that in it: Then the Bridge of Sirat will be set up, people will cross over it with the speed of the best horses and riders, and the situation will be such that even the Prophets and Messengers, out of fear, will be saying: "Save, protect." The people of Hell will remain, a group of them will be thrown into Hell and it will be asked: "Are you full?" Hell will say: "Are there any more?" After that, another group will be thrown into it and it will be asked: "Are you full now?" It will say: "Bring more," until when all the people of Hell have been thrown into Hell and it is still demanding more people to be thrown into it, then finally Allah Almighty will place His Foot in it, its edges will come together, and it will say: "Enough, enough, enough." When all the people of Paradise have entered Paradise and all the people of Hell have entered Hell, then death will be brought and placed on the wall between Paradise and Hell, then it will be announced: "O people of Paradise!" They will look there in fear, then it will be said: "O people of Hell!" They will look there with happiness and hope for release from Hell, then it will be said to both the people of Paradise and the people of Hell: "Do you recognize this?" They will all say: "Yes, we recognize it, this is death which was imposed upon us." Then it will be laid down and slaughtered on that wall, and it will be said: "O people of Paradise! Now you will remain in this Paradise forever, death will never come to you, and O people of Hell! Now you too will remain in this forever, death will never come to any of you."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: We asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), "O Messenger of Allah! Will we be able to see Allah Almighty on the Day of Resurrection?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When there are no clouds, do you have any difficulty in seeing the sun?" We said: "No." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the night of the full moon, when there are no clouds, do you have any difficulty in seeing the moon?" We said: "No." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You will see your Lord on the Day of Resurrection just as easily. Allah Almighty will gather all people in an open plain on the Day of Resurrection and it will be announced that whoever used to worship anyone in the world, let him follow that which he worshipped. Thus, those who worshipped the sun will follow it and it will throw them into Hell; those who worshipped the moon will follow it and fall into Hell; and those who worshipped various idols will follow them and thus fall into Hell. Only the believers will remain, though among them will be hypocrites and some people of the Book." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) indicated with his hand to show the small number of the people of the Book. Then Allah Almighty will come to them and say: "Why do you not go after that which you used to worship?" They will say: "We used to worship only Allah and we have not yet seen Him." Then Allah Almighty will reveal His Shin, and those who used to prostrate only to Allah will immediately fall in prostration before Allah Almighty, and those who used to prostrate only for show and fame will not be able to prostrate, rather they will fall on their backs. After that, the bridge (Sirat) will be set up over Hell, and the Prophets and Messengers will stand on both sides of it, praying: "O Allah! Keep safe, keep safe! O Allah! Save, save!" There will be severe slipperiness on this bridge, and there will be countless hooked rods and hooks that will snatch those who pass by, and there will be thorns like those of the Sa'dan tree that grows in the region of Najd. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) described the characteristics of those thorns. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I and my Ummah will be the first to cross this bridge. People will pass over it at the speed of lightning, at the speed of a strong wind, at the speed of the best fast horses, and at the speed of fast camels. Some people will be saved safely, and some will pass while stumbling and getting wounded, and those who fall will fall into Hell. Those who cross the bridge will argue for their brothers who have fallen into Hell even more than they used to argue for their certain rights in the world. They will say: 'O our Lord! We used to fight together in Jihad, we used to perform Hajj and Umrah together, so what is the reason that we were saved and they were destroyed?' Allah Almighty will say to them: 'Look, bring out those who have faith equal to a dinar in their hearts.' Thus, such people will be taken out of Hell. After that, Allah Almighty will say: 'Bring out those who have faith equal to a qirat in their hearts.' Thus, such people will also be taken out. Then Allah Almighty will say: 'Bring out those who have faith equal to a mustard seed in their hearts.' Thus, such people will also be taken out of Hell." After this, Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "For the confirmation of this, the Book of Allah is sufficient between me and you." Abdur Rahman bin Ishaq says: "I think he was referring to this verse: {وَاِنْ کَانَ مِثْقَالَ حَبَّۃٍ مِّنْ خَرْدَلٍ اَتَیْنَا بِھَا وَ کَفٰی بِنَا حَاسِبِیْنَ} (And if someone has faith equal to a mustard seed, We will bring it forth, and We are sufficient as Reckoners)." Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "And these people of Hell will be taken out of Hell and thrown into the river of life, and they will grow in it just as seeds grow in the soil brought by a flood. Do you not see that the plant which is towards the sun is green, and the one in the shade is yellow?" The Companions said: "O Messenger of Allah! It seems that you used to graze goats." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes, I used to graze goats."
Hadith 13339
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Soon you will see your Lord, the Exalted. The companions asked: O Messenger of Allah! Will we see our Lord? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do you have any difficulty in seeing the sun at noon? They replied: No. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Tell me, do you have any difficulty in seeing the full moon on the night of the fourteenth? They replied: No. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In the same way, you will have no difficulty in seeing Allah, the Exalted, just as you have no difficulty in seeing the sun and the moon. A'mash has interpreted "la tudarrun" as "la tumarun," meaning that there will be no crowding or jostling while seeing Allah, the Exalted.
Hadith 13340
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Razin (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I said, "O Messenger of Allah! Will we all see Allah Almighty on the Day of Resurrection, and is there any example of Him among His creation?" You (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Abu Razin! Does not each one of you see the moon from his own place?" I said, "Why not, O Messenger of Allah!" You (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty is greater than that."
Hadith 13341
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Suhaib bin Sinan (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When the people of Paradise enter Paradise, a voice will call out to them: O people of Paradise! There remains one promise of Allah to be fulfilled for you, which you have not yet seen. They will say: O Allah! Have You not brightened our faces, protected us from Hell, and admitted us into Paradise? In another narration, it is mentioned: They will say: Has Allah not made our scales heavy, given our records in our right hands, saved us from Hell, and admitted us into Paradise? At that moment, the veil will be lifted and Allah Almighty will manifest Himself before them, and they will behold Him. By Allah! Allah will not have given them anything better or more beloved than this. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse: {لِلَّذِیْنَ اَحْسَنُوا الْحُسْنٰی وَ زِیَادَۃٌ} (Those who do good in this world will have a good reward and even more. (Surah Yunus: 26)
