بَيَانُ مَا لَادْنَى أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ فِيهَا وَمَا لَا عَلَاهُمْ
Clarification of what the lowest and highest people of Paradise will have therein
Hadith 13311
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”إِنَّ أَدْنَى مَقْعَدِ أَحَدِكُمْ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ أَنْ يَقُولَ تَمَنَّ وَيَتَمَنَّى فَيَقُولُ لَهُ هَلْ تَمَنَّيْتَ فَيَقُولُ نَعَمْ فَيَقُولُ لَهُ فَإِنَّ لَكَ مَا تَمَنَّيْتَ وَمِثْلَهُ مَعَهُ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The person among you who will have the lowest rank in Paradise, Allah Almighty will say to him: Wish for whatever you want to ask for. That person will make his wishes, then Allah Almighty will ask him: Have you made your wishes? He will reply: Yes. Then Allah Almighty will say to him: Whatever you have wished for, you will be given all of it, and as much more as that.
Hadith 13312
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”إِنَّ أَدْنَى أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ مَنْزِلَةً لَيَنْظُرُ فِي مُلْكِهِ أَلْفَيْ سَنَةٍ يَرَى أَقْصَاهُ كَمَا يَرَى أَدْنَاهُ يَنْظُرُ فِي أَزْوَاجِهِ وَخَدَمِهِ وَإِنَّ أَفْضَلَهُمْ مَنْزِلَةً لَيَنْظُرُ فِي وَجْهِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى كُلَّ يَوْمٍ مَرَّتَيْنِ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The person with the lowest rank among the people of Paradise will be able to glance at his kingdom only once in two thousand years, and he will see distant places just as he sees nearby places. In the same way, he will see his wives and servants. And the one with the highest rank among the people of Paradise will be the one who will behold Allah Almighty twice every day.
Hadith 13313
(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَانٍ) رَفَعَهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ ”إِنَّ أَدْنَى أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ مَنْزِلَةً الَّذِي يَنْظُرُ إِلَى جِنَانِهِ وَنَعِيمِهِ وَخَدَمِهِ وَسُرُرِهِ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ أَلْفِ سَنَةٍ إِنَّ أَكْرَمَهُمْ عَلَى اللَّهِ مَنْ يَنْظُرُ إِلَى وَجْهِهِ غُدْوَةً وَعَشِيَّةً“ ثُمَّ تَلَا هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ {وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَاضِرَةٌ إِلَى رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةٌ}
. (Second chain of narration) The Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The person in Paradise with the lowest rank will see his gardens, blessings, servants, and thrones from a distance of a thousand years, and the most honored person with Allah in Paradise will be the one who will behold Allah morning and evening. Then the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, recited this verse: {وُجُوْہٌ یَّوْمَئِذٍ نَّاضِرَۃٌ اِلٰی رَبِّہَا نَاظِرَۃٌ} (On that day, many faces will be radiant, looking at their Lord.) (Surah Qiyamah: 22, 23)
Hadith 13314
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”إِنَّ أَدْنَى أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ مَنْزِلَةً مَنْ يَتَمَنَّى عَلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فَيُقَالُ لَكَ ذَلِكَ وَمِثْلُهُ مَعَهُ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ يُلَقَّنُ فَيُقَالُ لَهُ كَذَا وَكَذَا فَيُقَالُ لَكَ ذَلِكَ وَمِثْلُهُ“ فَقَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”فَيُقَالُ لَكَ ذَلِكَ وَعَشَرَةُ أَمْثَالِهِ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The person with the lowest rank among the people of Paradise will be the one who will wish to Allah Almighty, and it will be said to him: All this is for you, rather, even more than this will be given to him. Then he will be told: Ask for such and such things as well. Then it will be said to him: All this is given to you and even double of it is granted to you. Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri, may Allah be pleased with him, said that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: It will be said to him: All this is being given to you, rather, along with it, ten times as much is also being given to you.
Hadith 13315
وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”إِنَّ أَدْنَى أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ مَنْزِلَةً أَنَّ لَهُ لَسَبْعَ دَرَجَاتٍ وَهُوَ عَلَى السَّادِسَةِ وَفَوْقَهُ السَّابِعَةُ وَإِنَّ لَهُ لَثَلَاثَمِائَةِ خَادِمٍ وَيُغْدَى عَلَيْهِ وَيُرَاحُ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ ثَلَاثَمِائَةِ صَحْفَةٍ وَلَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا قَالَ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فِي كُلِّ صَحْفَةٍ لَوْنٌ لَيْسَ فِي الْأُخْرَى وَإِنَّهُ لَيَلَذُّ أَوَّلَهُ كَمَا يَلَذُّ آخِرَهُ وَإِنَّهُ لَيَقُولُ يَا رَبِّ لَوْ أَذِنْتَ لِي لَأَطْعَمْتُ أَهْلَ الْجَنَّةِ وَلَسَقَيْتُهُمْ لَمْ يَنْقُصْ مِمَّا عِنْدِي شَيْءٌ وَإِنَّ لَهُ لَاثْنَتَيْنِ وَسَبْعِينَ زَوْجَةً سِوَى أَزْوَاجِهِ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَإِنَّ الْوَاحِدَةَ مِنْهُمْ لَتَأْخُذُ مَقْعَدُهَا قَدْرَ مِيلٍ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The one with the lowest rank among the people of Paradise will have seven levels; he will be on the sixth level and above him will be the seventh. He will have three hundred servants, and every morning and evening, three hundred golden dishes will be presented before him, and in each dish there will be food unlike that in the other dishes, and the first portion will be as delicious as the last. He will say: O my Lord! If You permit me, I would serve food and drinks to the people of Paradise, and this would not decrease my blessings in the least. In addition, he will have better wives from among the women of Paradise besides his wives from the world, and the sitting place of each wife will be equal to a mile of land.
