عَدَدُ مَنْ يُدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ وَصِفَتُهُمْ
The number of those who will enter Paradise without reckoning and their description
Hadith 13305
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَكْرِ بْنِ السَّهْمِيُّ ثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ مَيْمُونِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ”إِنَّ رَبِّي أَعْطَانِي سَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا مِنْ أُمَّتِي يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ“ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَهَلَّا اسْتَزَدْتَّهُ قَالَ: ”قَدِ اسْتَزَدْتُّهُ فَأَعْطَانِي مَعَ كُلِّ رَجُلٍ سَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا“ قَالَ عُمَرُ: فَهَلَّا اسْتَزَدْتَّهُ قَالَ: ”قَدِ اسْتَزَدْتُّهُ فَأَعْطَانِي هَكَذَا“ وَفَرَّجَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَكْرٍ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ: وَبَسَطَ بَاعَيْهِ وَحَثَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَقَالَ هِشَامٌ: وَهَذَا مِنَ اللَّهِ لَا يُدْرَى مَا عَدَدُهُ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: My Lord has promised me that seventy thousand individuals from my Ummah will enter Paradise without reckoning or account. Upon hearing this, Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah! Why did you not request an increase in this number? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I did request an increase, and Allah Almighty promised that with each of those seventy thousand, He would send seventy thousand more people. Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah! Why did you not request even more increase? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I did request. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) spread out his two arms and indicated, saying that Allah Almighty has promised to send even more people, as many as this, to Paradise without reckoning. Imam Ahmad’s teacher Abdullah bin Bakr spread both his hands forward, and Abdullah bin Imam Ahmad spread both his arms to his sides, indicating to fill them. Hisham said: Then this is from Allah Almighty; no one knows how many their number will be.
Hadith 13306
وَعَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ الصِّدِّيقِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ”أُعْطِيتُ سَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ وُجُوهُهُمْ كَالْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ وَقُلُوبُهُمْ عَلَى قَلْبِ رَجُلٍ وَاحِدٍ فَاسْتَزَدْتُّ رَبِّي عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فَزَادَنِي مَعَ كُلِّ وَاحِدٍ سَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا“ قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: فَرَأَيْتُ أَنَّ ذَلِكَ أَتَى عَلَى أَهْلِ الْقُرَى وَمُصِيبٍ مِنْ حَافَّاتِ الْبَوَادِي
Narrated from Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Seventy thousand individuals from my Ummah will enter Paradise without reckoning; their faces will shine like the moon on the night of Badr, and their hearts will be like the heart of a single man. When I asked my Lord for more, He added seventy thousand more with each one of them. Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I think this will reach the people of the towns and extend to the outskirts of the villages.
Hadith 13307
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: ”سَأَلْتُ رَبِّي عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فَوَعَدَنِي أَنْ يُدْخِلَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي سَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا عَلَى صُورَةِ الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ فَاسْتَزَدْتُّ فَزَادَنِي مَعَ كُلِّ أَلْفٍ سَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا فَقُلْتُ: أَيْ رَبِّ إِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ هَؤُلَاءِ مُهَاجِرِي أُمَّتِي قَالَ: إِذًا أُكْمِلُهُمْ لَكَ مِنَ الْأَعْرَابِ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: I requested my Lord and He promised me that He will admit seventy thousand individuals from my Ummah into Paradise; the faces of these individuals will be radiant like the full moon of the fourteenth night. When I requested an increase in this number, He added seventy thousand more with each individual of that number. I said: O my Lord! What if the number of emigrants from my Ummah does not reach that much? Allah Almighty said: Then I will complete this number from the common villagers.
Hadith 13308
وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: ”يَدْخُلُ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا مِنْ أُمَّتِي الْجَنَّةَ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ“ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ: ”اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ مِنْهُمْ“ ثُمَّ قَامَ آخَرُ فَقَالَ: ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ: ”سَبَقَكَ بِهَا عُكَاشَةُ“
It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with him, who says that Abu al-Qasim, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Seventy thousand individuals from my Ummah will enter Paradise without reckoning or account. A man said: Pray to Allah Almighty that He includes me among those people. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, prayed for him: O Allah! Include him among those people. After that, another man stood up and said: Pray to Allah Almighty for me as well, that He may also include me among those people. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'Ukkasha has preceded you in this.'
Hadith 13309
(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَانٍ) قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: ”يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي زُمْرَةٌ هُمْ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا تُضِيءُ وُجُوهُهُمْ إِضَاءَةَ الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ“ فَقَامَ عُكَاشَةُ بْنُ مِحْصَنٍ الْأَسْدِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَرْفَعُ نَمِرَةً عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ: ”اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ مِنْهُمْ“ ثُمَّ قَامَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ قَالَ: ”سَبَقَكَ عُكَاشَةُ“
(Second chain) It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A group of seventy thousand people from my Ummah will enter Paradise in such a state that their faces will be shining like the full moon of the fourteenth night. Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that upon hearing this, Sayyiduna ‘Ukasha bin Mihsan Asadi (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up, adjusting his cloak, and said: O Messenger of Allah! Pray that Allah includes me among those people. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed for him thus: O Allah! Include him among those people. After this, an Ansari man stood up and said: O Messenger of Allah! Pray that Allah includes me also among those people. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: ‘Ukasha has preceded you.
Hadith 13310
وَعَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ”إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَعَدَنِي أَنْ يُدْخِلَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي الْجَنَّةَ سَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ“ فَقَالَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ الْأَخْنَسِ السُّلَمِيُّ: وَاللَّهِ مَا أُولَئِكَ فِي أُمَّتِكَ إِلَّا كَالذُّبَابِ الْأَصْهَبِ فِي الذُّبَابِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ”كَانَ رَبِّي عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَدْ وَعَدَنِي سَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا مَعَ كُلِّ أَلْفٍ سَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا وَزَادَنِي ثَلَاثَ حَثَيَاتٍ زَادَ فِي رِوَايَةٍ مِنْ حَثَيَاتِ الرَّبِّ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty has promised me that He will admit seventy thousand individuals from my Ummah into Paradise without reckoning. Upon hearing this, Sayyiduna Yazid bin Akhnas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: By Allah! This number in your Ummah is just like the small number of yellow bees among the common bees. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: My Lord has promised me seventy thousand, and with every thousand, He has promised an additional seventy thousand, and on top of that, there are three handfuls of Allah Almighty besides this number.
