كتاب النار والجنةThe Book of Hellfire and Paradise
سُوقُ الْجَنَّةِ وَصِفَهُ نِسَائِهَا وَغِنَاهُ الْحُورِ الْعِينِ فيها
The market of Paradise, the description of its women, and the wealth of the wide-eyed maidens therein
Hadith 13283
عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”إِنَّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ سُوقًا مَا فِيهَا بَيْعٌ وَلَا شِرَاءٌ إِلَّا الصُّوَرُ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ وَالرِّجَالِ فَإِذَا اشْتَهَى الرَّجُلُ صُورَةً دَخَلَ فِيهَا وَإِنَّ فِيهَا لَمَجْمَعًا لِلْحُورِ الْعِينِ يَرْفَعْنَ أَصْوَاتًا لَمْ يَرَ الْخَلَائِقُ مِثْلَهَا يَقُلْنَ نَحْنُ الْخَالِدَاتُ فَلَا نَبِيدُ وَنَحْنُ الرَّاضِيَاتُ فَلَا نَسْخَطُ وَنَحْنُ النَّاعِمَاتُ فَلَا نَبْأَسُ فَطُوبَى لِمَنْ كَانَ لَنَا وَكُنَّا لَهُ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In Paradise, there will be a market where there will be no buying or selling, but only images of men and women. When any man likes an image, he will be transformed into that image. And in Paradise, there will be a gathering place for wide-eyed women, the houris, where they will sing in loud voices. No creature has seen anything like them. They will sing this melody: We are everlasting, we shall never die; we are pleased, we shall never be displeased; we are prosperous, we shall never be miserable. So glad tidings for those who are for us, and we are for them.
Hadith 13284
وَعَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ ”إِنَّ لِأَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ سُوقًا يَأْتُونَهَا كُلَّ جُمْعَةٍ فِيهَا كُثْبَانُ الْمِسْكِ فَإِذَا خَرَجُوا إِلَيْهَا هَبَّتِ الرِّيحُ وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ شِمَالٌ قَالَ فَتَمْلَأُ وُجُوهَهُمْ وَثِيَابَهُمْ وَبُيُوتَهُمْ مِسْكًا فَيَزْدَادُونَ حُسْنًا وَجَمَالًا قَالَ فَيَأْتُونَ أَهْلِيهِمْ فَيَقُولُونَ لَقَدِ ازْدَدْتُمْ بَعْدَنَا حُسْنًا وَجَمَالًا وَيَقُولُونَ لَهُنَّ وَأَنْتُمْ قَدِ ازْدَدْتُمْ بَعْدَنَا حُسْنًا وَجَمَالًا“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In Paradise, there will be a market for the people of Paradise; they will go there every week. There will be high heaps of musk in it. When they set out towards this market, a wind will blow from the north and it will fill their faces, clothes, and homes with musk, and their beauty and elegance will increase because of it. When they return to their families, the family members will say to them, "Your beauty and elegance have greatly increased since you left us," and they will reply, "Your beauty and elegance have also greatly increased since we left."
Hadith 13285
وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ ”لَوِ اطَّلَعَتْ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ نِسَاءِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ لَمَلَأَتْ مَا بَيْنَهُمَا رِيحًا وَلَطَابَ مَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَلَنَصِيفُهَا عَلَى رَأْسِهَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If a woman from among the wives of the people of Paradise were to look down towards the earth, the space between the earth and the sky would be filled with her fragrance and everything between them would become perfumed. The veil on her head is better than the world and whatever is in it.
Hadith 13286
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ ”لِلرَّجُلِ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ زَوْجَتَانِ مِنْ حُورِ الْعِينِ عَلَى كُلِّ وَاحِدَةٍ سَبْعُونَ حُلَّةً يُرَى مُخُّ سَاقِهَا وَرَاءَ الثِّيَابِ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Every inhabitant of Paradise will have two wives from among the wide-eyed houris, and each will have seventy garments on her body, (but such will be the delicacy and transparency that) the marrow of her thigh will be visible from behind those clothes.
Hadith 13287
وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ”إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَتَّكِئُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ سَبْعِينَ سَنَةً قَبْلَ أَنْ يَتَحَوَّلَ ثُمَّ تَأْتِيهِ امْرَأَتُهُ فَتَضْرِبُ عَلَى مَنْكِبَيْهِ فَيَنْظُرُ وَجْهَهَا فِي خَدِّهَا أَصْفَى مِنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَإِنَّ أَدْنَى لُؤْلُؤَةٍ عَلَيْهَا تُضِيءُ مَا بَيْنَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ فَتُسَلِّمُ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ: فَيَرُدُّ السَّلَامَ وَيَسْأَلُهَا مَنْ أَنْتِ؟ وَتَقُولُ: أَنَا مِنَ الْمَزِيدِ وَإِنَّهُ لَيَكُونُ عَلَيْهَا سَبْعُونَ ثَوْبًا أَدْنَاهَا مِثْلُ النُّعْمَانِ مِنْ طُوبَى فَيَنْفُذُهَا بَصَرُهُ حَتَّى يَرَى مُخَّ سَاقِهَا مِنْ وَرَاءِ ذَلِكَ وَإِنَّ عَلَيْهَا مِنَ التِّيجَانِ إِنَّ أَدْنَى لُؤْلُؤَةٍ عَلَيْهَا لَتُضِيءُ مَا بَيْنَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In Paradise, a man will remain seated in one place for seventy years without changing his spot. After that, his wife will come to him and place her hands on his shoulders; he will see his own face in her cheeks, and her face will be more transparent than a mirror. The least beautiful pearl among the pearls adorning her body will be so beautiful that it will illuminate the area between the East and the West. She will greet her husband with peace, and he will reply to her greeting and ask, "Who are you?" She will reply, "I am among the additional blessings for you." She will be wearing seventy garments, the lightest of which will be like the tulip flower of the mountain of Tuba. His gaze will pass through all those garments and see up to the marrow of her shin. Upon her will be many crowns, and the least beautiful pearl sewn onto those crowns will be so beautiful that it will illuminate the space between the East and the West.
