Hadith 13185
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: Shall I not tell you who are the people of Hell and who are the people of Paradise? Every person who is weak in worldly terms, whom people consider weak, disheveled and covered in dust, and who wears two worn-out sheets—these people are the dwellers of Paradise. Their status with Allah Almighty is such that if any one of them swears an oath by Allah, He surely fulfills their oath. And the harsh-natured, ill-mannered, arrogant, wealth-hoarding, miserly, and fat person (who, out of arrogance) likes to walk ahead of people—he is of the people of Hell.
Hadith 13186
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin Aas (may Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Every person who is ill-tempered, arrogant, a hoarder of wealth, and miserly is from the people of Hell. And those who are considered weak and overpowered in worldly terms are from the people of Paradise.
Hadith 13187
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Shall I not tell you who are the people of Paradise? Those who are considered weak and oppressed in worldly terms. And shall I not also tell you who are the people of Hell? Every person who is harsh-tempered and ill-natured, he is of the people of Hell.
Hadith 13188
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Suraqah bin Malik bin Ju'sham Mudlaji, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to him: "Suraqah! Shall I not tell you who are the people of Paradise and who are the people of Hell?" He said: "Yes, certainly, O Messenger of Allah!" The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Every ill-mannered, bad-tempered, and arrogant person is from the people of Hell, and those who are weak and subdued in worldly terms are from the people of Paradise."
Hadith 13189
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I know of three types of people who will enter Paradise first: the martyr, the slave who fulfills the rights of Allah and the rights of his masters properly, and the chaste poor person who refrains from begging. And I also know of three types of people who will enter Hell first: the king who rules over people by force, the wealthy person who does not fulfill the rights of wealth, and the poor man who is arrogant.
Hadith 13190
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Those people of Hell who are to remain in Hell, they will neither die there nor live. And Allah Almighty, for those among the people of Hell whom He wishes to have mercy upon, will cause them to die in Hell. Then the intercessors will come to them, and their helpers will take them and cast them into the River of Life, or the River of Living, or the River of Life, or the River of Paradise, and in it they will grow just as a seed grows in the scum of a flood. Have you not seen that trees are green and then turn yellow, or they are yellow and then turn green? Upon hearing this, the companions said to one another: It seems as if the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to live in the countryside.
