Hadith 13168
Safwan bin Mahraz says: I was holding the hand of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), when a man came before him and said: Regarding Allah Almighty confiding with His servant on the Day of Resurrection, what did you hear the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say about this? He said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty will bring the believer close to Himself, place His arm over him, and, concealing him from the people, will make him confess his sins and will say: Do you remember such-and-such sin? Do you know about such-and-such sin? Are you aware of such-and-such sin? Until Allah Almighty makes him confess all his sins, and the man becomes convinced in his heart that he is doomed, then Allah Almighty will say: I concealed these sins of yours from the people in the world, and today I forgive all of them. After that, he will be handed the record of his good deeds. As for the disbelievers and hypocrites, regarding them the witnesses will say: These are the people who used to lie against their Lord in the world. Beware! The curse of Allah is upon the wrongdoers.
Hadith 13169
(Second chain) Safwan bin Muhariz says: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) was performing Tawaf when a man came before him and said: O Abu Abdur Rahman! How did you hear from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about the whispering between Allah Almighty and His servant? He said: Then he narrated just like the previous hadith, except that in this one there is this addition: As for the matter of the disbelievers and hypocrites, it will be said about them before all the people: These are the ones who lied against their Lord; beware! The curse of Allah is upon the wrongdoers. Qatadah said: On that day, whoever is disgraced, his disgrace will not remain hidden from anyone.
Hadith 13170
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, Allah Almighty will separate a man from among the people and will spread out before him ninety-nine registers of his sins; each register will be as far as the eye can see. Allah Almighty will say to His servant: Do you deny any of these sins? Have My appointed recording angels wronged you? He will say: O my Lord! No, by no means. Allah Almighty will say: Do you have any excuse or any good deed? The man, bewildered and anxious, will say: O my Lord! No. Allah Almighty will say: You have one good deed with Us; today you will not be wronged. Then a slip will be brought forth, on which the testimony of faith will be written: "Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah wa anna Muhammadan abduhu wa rasuluhu" (I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is His servant and Messenger). Allah Almighty will say: Bring it forward as well. The man will say: O my Lord! What is the worth of this small slip compared to these huge registers? It will be said from Allah: Today you will not be wronged. Thus, all the registers will be placed on one side of the scale, and because of their lightness, they will be lifted up, and the slip will become heavy. The truth is that nothing can outweigh the name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate.
Hadith 13171
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: On the Day of Resurrection, various questions will be asked from one of you, until during this questioning he will also be asked: When you saw sin in the world, why did you not stop it? Then the servant to whom Allah Almighty grants understanding of the answer will say: O my Lord! I hoped for Your mercy and I was afraid of the people.
Hadith 13172
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Fadala bin Ubaid and Sayyiduna Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When the Day of Resurrection comes and Allah Almighty has finished judging the people, then two men will remain. Then it will be ordered that they be taken towards Hell. One of them will keep looking back. Allah Almighty will say: Bring him back. The angels will bring him back. Allah Almighty will ask him: Why were you looking back? He will say: I was hoping that You would admit me into Paradise. Then it will be ordered that he be admitted into Paradise. When he enters Paradise, he will say: Allah Almighty has given me so many blessings that even if I feed all the people of Paradise, there will be no decrease in my blessings. Whenever the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) narrated this incident, signs of happiness would appear on his face.
Hadith 13173
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, a man will be presented before Allah Almighty, and it will be said: Present his minor sins to him. Thus, his minor sins will be presented to him, and his major sins will be concealed from him. It will be said to him: Did you commit such and such sin on such and such day? He will confess to those sins and will not deny them, while he will be fearful of his major sins. But when Allah Almighty will say: Give him a good deed in exchange for every sin, then he will speak and say: I have committed some sins which I do not see here. Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), when he narrated this hadith, he smiled so much that his molar teeth became visible.
Hadith 13174
(Second chain) It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I know the man who will be taken out of Hell last and will be admitted to Paradise last. A man will be brought... ... until the point that the molar teeth of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) became visible, and it is similar to the previous hadith. And this addition is present: Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then it will be said to him: So indeed, for you, for every evil deed there is a good deed in return.
Hadith 13175
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Allah Almighty does not wrong a believer even in regard to a single good deed; rather, the believer is rewarded for his good deeds in this world as well, and he is also given reward in the Hereafter. As for the disbeliever, Allah Almighty repays him for his good deeds in this world itself, so that when he reaches the Hereafter, there remains no good deed for which he may be rewarded.
