يوم الحسابThe Day of Reckoning
شَهَادَةُ الْأَرْضِ وَأَعْضَاءِ الْإِنْسَانِ عَلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ
The testimony of the earth and the limbs of man against him on the Day of Resurrection
Hadith 13159
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَرَأَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ {يَوْمَئِذٍ تُحَدِّثُ أَخْبَارَهَا} قَالَ ”أَتَدْرُونَ مَا أَخْبَارُهَا“ قَالُوا اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ قَالَ ”فَإِنَّ أَخْبَارَهَا أَنْ تَشْهَدَ عَلَى كُلِّ عَبْدٍ وَأَمَةٍ بِمَا عَمِلَ عَلَى ظَهْرِهَا أَنْ تَقُولَ عَمِلْتَ عَلَيَّ كَذَا وَكَذَا فِي يَوْمِ كَذَا وَكَذَا فَهُوَ أَخْبَارُهَا“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, recited this verse {یَوْمَئِذٍ تُحَدِّثُ اَخْبَارَہَا} and then asked: Do you know what is meant by the news of the earth? The companions said: Allah and His Messenger know best. He, peace and blessings be upon him, said: It means that whatever every man and woman has done upon the earth, the earth will testify about it, saying: On such and such a day you did such and such deeds upon me. This is what is meant by its news.
Hadith 13160
وَعَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ ”إِنَّ أَوَّلَ عَظْمٍ مِنَ الْإِنْسَانِ يَتَكَلَّمُ يَوْمَ يُخْتَمُ عَلَى الْأَفْوَاهِ فَخِذُهُ مِنَ الرِّجْلِ الشِّمَالِ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, when a seal will be set upon the mouths of people, the first to speak will be the thigh bone of the left leg of a person, and it will testify against him by describing his deeds.
