Hadith 13123
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to us: In Paradise, there is a river named Kawthar, its banks are of gold, its water flows over pearls, its water is whiter than milk and sweeter than honey.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: I entered Paradise, and there I saw a river whose banks were of tents made of pearls. I put my hand into the flowing water, and it was the most intensely fragrant musk. I said: O Jibril! What is this? He said: This is the Kawthar which Allah Almighty has granted to you.

Hadith 13126
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about Kawthar. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is a river which my Lord has granted me. Its water is whiter than milk and sweeter than honey, and in it there will be birds with necks like those of camels. Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah! Those birds will be very excellent. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Umar! Those who eat them will be even better and superior than them.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: The two sons of Malika came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: Our mother greatly honored her husband, was very compassionate to her children, and was very hospitable to guests. However, she committed one mistake: in the time of ignorance, she buried her children alive. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Your mother is in Hell. Hearing this, they turned back, and disappointment and grief were evident on their faces. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called them back. When they returned, signs of happiness were visible on their faces; they hoped that something new had occurred. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to them: My mother is with your mother. A hypocrite said: We follow this Messenger, and he could not even save his own mother from Hell. An Ansari, who used to ask the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) many questions, said: Has your Lord told you anything about you and your mother? He thought that this was something the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had heard from Allah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I have not asked my Lord anything about this, nor do I need to; on the Day of Resurrection, I will be standing at the Station of Praise (Maqam-e-Mahmood). The Ansari asked: What is meant by the Station of Praise? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, when people will be brought forth naked, barefoot, and uncircumcised, the first to be clothed will be Ibrahim (peace be upon him). Allah, the Exalted, will say: Clothe My Friend. Then two white sheets will be brought and given to him, and he will wear them. After that, he will sit facing the Throne. Then my garment will be brought to me, and I will also wear it and stand to the right of the Throne at a place where no one else will be able to stand except me. All the people, former and latter, will envy me for this honor. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: From the river Kawthar, a stream will be made to flow towards the Pond. Hearing this, the hypocrites said: The water of rivers flows over soil and pebbles. The Ansari said: O Messenger of Allah! Will the water of Kawthar flow over soil and pebbles? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Its soil will be musk and its pebbles will be pearls. The hypocrite said: We have only ever heard that the water of rivers, when it flows over soil and pebbles, causes crops to grow. The Ansari said: O Messenger of Allah! Will anything grow from that water? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Yes, yes, golden sprouts will emerge. The hypocrite said: We have never heard such a thing; rarely does a sprout grow without leaves or sometimes even fruit. The Ansari said: O Messenger of Allah! Will the thing that grows from it also bear fruit? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Yes, yes, it will have colors like jewels; its water will be whiter than milk and sweeter than honey. Whoever drinks that water once will never feel thirsty again, and whoever is deprived of it will never be quenched thereafter.
