بيان قيام الساعة، النفخ فى الصور، وبعث الناس من قبورهمExplanation of the Resurrection, Blowing of the Trumpet, and Raising of People from Their Graves
هَوْلُ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ وَدُنُو الشَّمْسِ مِنْ رُءُوسِ الخلائق
The terror of the Day of Resurrection and the sun drawing near to the heads of creation
Hadith 13080
عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قِيلَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: يَوْمًا كَانَ مِقْدَارُهُ خَمْسِينَ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ مَا أَطْوَلَ هَذَا الْيَوْمَ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ”وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ! إِنَّهُ لَيُخَفَّفُ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِ حَتَّى يَكُونَ أَخَفَّ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ صَلَاةٍ مَكْتُوبَةٍ يُصَلِّيهَا فِي الدُّنْيَا“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri, may Allah be pleased with him, that someone said to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him: The Day of Resurrection, which will be equal to fifty thousand years, how long that day will be. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: By Him in Whose hand is my soul! That day will be so short for the believer that it will feel even less than the time it takes to perform an obligatory prayer in this world.
Hadith 13081
وَعَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: ”تَدْنُو الشَّمْسُ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ فَيَعْرَقُ النَّاسُ، فَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَبْلُغُ عَرَقُهُ عَقِبَيْهِ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَبْلُغُ إِلَى نِصْفِ السَّاقِ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَبْلُغُ إِلَى رُكْبَتَيْهِ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَبْلُغُ الْعَجُزَ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَبْلُغُ الْخَاصِرَةَ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَبْلُغُ مَنْكِبَيْهِ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَبْلُغُ عُنُقَهُ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَبْلُغُ وَسَطَ فِيهِ وَأَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ فَأَلْجَمَهَا فَاهُ“ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُشِيرُ هَكَذَا ”وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يُغَطِّيهِ عَرَقُهُ“ وَضَرَبَ بِيَدِهِ إِشَارَةً
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, the sun will come very close to the earth, due to which people will be drenched in sweat. For some, their sweat will reach up to their ankles, for some up to the middle of their shins, for some up to their knees, for some up to their buttocks, for some up to their waist, for some up to their shoulders, for some up to their necks, and for some up to their mouths. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) indicated with his hand the state of reaching up to the mouth, and for some people, their sweat will even cover them completely. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) indicated with his hand.
Hadith 13082
وَعَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ”تَدْنُو الشَّمْسُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عَلَى قَدْرِ مِيلٍ وَزَادَ فِي حَرِّهَا كَذَا وَكَذَا، يَغْلِي مِنْهَا الْهَوَامُّ كَمَا يَغْلِي الْقُدُورَ يَعْرَقُونَ فِيهَا عَلَى قَدْرِ خَطَايَاهُمْ، مِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَبْلُغُ إِلَى كَعْبَيْهِ، وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَبْلُغَ إِلَى سَاقَيْهِ، وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَبْلُغَ إِلَى وَسَطِهِ، وَمِنْهُمْ مَن يُلْجِمُهُ الْعَرَقُ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, the sun will come as close as the length of a spear, and its heat will be multiplied many times. Because of its heat, brains will boil just as pots boil. People will be drenched in their sweat according to the measure of their sins: for some, the sweat will reach up to their ankles, for some up to their shins, for some up to their waists, and for some up to their mouths.
Hadith 13083
عَنْ الْمِقْدَادِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ صَاحِبِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: ”إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ، أُدْنِيَتِ الشَّمْسُ مِنَ الْعِبَادِ حَتَّى تَكُونَ قَدْرَ مِيلٍ أَوْ مِيلَيْنِ، قَالَ: فَتَصْهَرُهُمُ الشَّمْسُ، فَيَكُونُونَ فِي الْعَرَقِ كَقَدْرِ أَعْمَالِهِمْ، مِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَأْخُذُهُ إِلَى عَقِبَيْهِ، وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَأْخُذُهُ إِلَى حَقْوَيْهِ، وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يُلْجِمُهُ الْجَامَ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Miqdad bin Aswad (may Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When the Day of Resurrection comes, the sun will come so close to the people that it will be at a distance of one or two miles, the sun will scorch them and people will be submerged in their sweat according to their deeds; for some it will be up to their ankles, for some up to their waists, and for some it will reach their mouths.
Hadith 13084
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ”إِنَّ الْعَرَقَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ لَيَذْهَبُ فِي الْأَرْضِ سَبْعِينَ بَاعًا، وَإِنَّهُ لَيَبْلُغُ إِلَى أَفْوَاهِ النَّاسِ أَوْ إِلَى آذَانِهِمْ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: On the Day of Resurrection, sweat will spread on the earth up to seventy cubits, and it will reach up to the mouths or necks of the people.
Hadith 13085
عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: ”يَقُومُ النَّاسُ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ لِعَظَمَةِ الرَّحْمَنِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حَتَّى إِنَّ الْعَرَقَ لَيُلْجِمُ الرِّجَالَ إِلَى أَنْصَافِ آذَانِهِمْ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: On the Day of Resurrection, people will stand before the Lord of the worlds in reverence for the Most Merciful, until their sweat will reach up to the middle of their ears.
