اخبارُ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِخُرُوجِ الدَّجَّالِ وَالْمَكَانِ الَّذِي يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُ وَذِكْرُ أَوْصَافِهِ وَأَتْبَاعِهِ وَفَتَنَتِهِ وَالتَّحْذِيرُ مِنْهُ وَغَيْرُ ذَلِكَ
The Prophet's (peace be upon him) informing about the emergence of the Dajjal, the place from which he will emerge, his descriptions, his followers, his tribulation, the warning against him, and more
Hadith 12978
عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: وَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: ”لَيَكُونَنَّ قَبْلَ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ الْمَسِيحُ الدَّجَّالُ وَكَذَّابُونَ ثَلَاثُونَ أَوْ أَكْثَرُ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, who says: By Allah! I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: Before the Day of Judgment, the appearance of the Messiah Dajjal will take place, and apart from him, thirty or more great liars will also appear.
Hadith 12979
عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ”أَنَّ الدَّجَّالَ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ أَرْضٍ بِالْمَشْرِقِ يُقَالُ لَهَا خُرَاسَانُ، يَتْبَعُهُ أَقْوَامٌ كَأَنَّ وُجُوهَهُمُ الْمَجَانُّ الْمُطْرَقَةُ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Dajjal will appear from a place called Khurasan, located in the direction of the east, and people will follow him whose faces will be broad and flat like shields.
Hadith 12980
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ”يَأْتِي الْمَسِيحُ الدَّجَّالُ مِنْ قِبَلِ الْمَشْرِقِ، وَهِمَّتُهُ الْمَدِينَةُ، حَتَّى يَنْزِلَ دُبُرَ أُحُدٍ، ثُمَّ تُصَرِّفُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَجْهَهُ قِبَلَ الشَّامِ، وَهُنَاكَ يَهْلِكُ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with him, that he said: The Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The Messiah Dajjal will come from the east and his target will be Madinah Munawwarah, but when he reaches behind the mountain of Uhud, the angels will turn his direction towards the land of Sham, and there he will perish.
Hadith 12981
وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: ”لَيَنْزِلَنَّ الدَّجَّالُ خُوزَ وَكِرْمَانَ فِي سَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا، وُجُوهُهُمْ كَالْمَجَانِّ الْمُطْرَقَةِ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, who says that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The Dajjal will go and stay in the regions of Khuz and Kerman with seventy thousand people; the faces of those who support him will be broad and flat like shields.
Hadith 12982
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ”يَنْزِلُ الدَّجَّالُ فِي هَذِهِ السَّبَخَةِ بِمَرِّ قَنَاةٍ، فَيَكُونُ أَكْثَرُ مَنْ يَخْرُجُ إِلَيْهِ النِّسَاءُ، حَتَّى إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَرْجِعُ إِلَى حَمِيمِهِ وَإِلَى أُمِّهِ وَابْنَتِهِ وَأُخْتِهِ وَعَمَّتِهِ فَيُوثِقُهَا رِبَاطًا مَخَافَةَ أَنْ تَخْرُجَ إِلَيْهِ، ثُمَّ يُسَلِّطُ اللَّهُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ عَلَيْهِ، فَيَقْتُلُونَهُ وَيَقْتُلُونَ شِيعَتَهُ، حَتَّى إِنَّ الْيَهُودِيَّ يَخْتَبِئُ تَحْتَ الشَّجَرَةِ أَوِ الْحَجَرِ فَيَقُولُ الْحَجَرُ أَوِ الشَّجَرَةُ لِلْمُسْلِمِ: هَذَا يَهُودِيٌّ تَحْتِي فَاقْتُلْهُ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, that he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The Dajjal will stop at a noisy place near the flow of the valley of Qanat, close to Madinah Munawwarah. Among those who go towards him, the number of women will be so great that a man will go to his relatives—mother, daughter, sister, paternal aunt, etc.—and tie them firmly, lest any of them go towards the Dajjal. Then Allah Almighty will grant dominance to the Muslims over him, and they will kill him and those who support him, until when any Jew hides behind a tree or a stone, that stone or tree will speak and say to the Muslim: This Jew is hiding behind me, so kill him.
Hadith 12983
وَعَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ”يَخْرُجُ الدَّجَّالُ مِنْ يَهُودِيَّةِ أَصْبَهَانَ مَعَهُ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا مِنَ الْيَهُودِ، عَلَيْهِمُ السِّيجَانُ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The Dajjal will appear from a Jewish settlement in Isfahan, and with him will be seventy thousand Jews, who will have green shawls draped over their shoulders.
Hadith 12984
وَعَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ”مَنْ سَمِعَ بِالدَّجَّالِ فَلْيَنَأْ مِنْهُ، فَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ يَأْتِيهِ وَهُوَ يَحْسِبُ أَنَّهُ مُؤْمِنٌ، فَلَا يَزَالُ بِهِ لِمَا مَعَهُ مِنَ الشُّبُهَاتِ حَتَّى يَتَّبِعَهُ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever hears about the coming of the Dajjal should stay far away from him, because a person who considers himself a believer, when he goes to him, will begin to follow him due to his doubts.
Hadith 12985
وَعَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: أَشْرَفَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى فَلَقٍ مِنْ أَفْلَاقِ الْحَرَّةِ وَنَحْنُ مَعَهُ فَقَالَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ”نِعْمَتِ الْأَرْضُ الْمَدِينَةُ إِذَا خَرَجَ الدَّجَّالُ، عَلَى كُلِّ نِقَبٍ مِنْ أَنْقَابِهَا مَلَكٌ لَا يَدْخُلَهَا، فَإِذَا كَانَ كَذَلِكَ رَجَفَتِ الْمَدِينَةُ بِأَهْلِهَا ثَلَاثَ رَجَفَاتٍ، لَا يَبْقَى مُنَافِقٌ وَلَا مُنَافِقَةٌ إِلَّا خَرَجَ إِلَيْهِ وَأَكْثَرُ يَعْنِي مَنْ يَخْرُجُ إِلَيْهِ النِّسَاءُ وَذَلِكَ يَوْمُ التَّخْلِيصِ، وَذَلِكَ يَوْمٌ تَنْفِي الْمَدِينَةُ الْخَبَثَ كَمَا تَنْفِي الْكِيرُ خَبَثَ الْحَدِيدِ، يَكُونُ مَعَهُ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا مِنَ الْيَهُودِ عَلَى كُلِّ رَجُلٍ مِنْهُمْ سَاجٌ وَسَيْفٌ مُحَلًّى فَتُضْرَبُ رَقَبَتُهُ بِهَذَا الضَّرْبِ الَّذِي عِنْدَ مُجْتَمَعِ السُّيُولِ“ ثُمَّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ”مَا كَانَتْ فِتْنَةٌ وَلَا تَكُونُ حَتَّى تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ أَكْبَرَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الدَّجَّالِ، وَلَا مِنْ نَبِيٍّ إِلَّا وَقَدْ حَذَّرَ أُمَّتَهُ، وَلَأُخْبِرَنَّكُمْ بِشَيْءٍ مَا أَخْبَرَهُ نَبِيٌّ أُمَّتَهُ قَبْلِي“ ثُمَّ وَضَعَ يَدَهُ عَلَى عَيْنِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ: ”أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَيْسَ بِأَعْوَرَ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) looked towards a plain area of Harrah, and we were with him. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The land of Madinah Munawwarah is very good. When the Dajjal appears, there will be an angel at every path of it, so he will not be able to enter it. When that time comes, Madinah Munawwarah will shake its people three times, so every hypocrite man and woman will leave and go towards the Dajjal. Among those who go towards him, the number of women will be greater. That will be the "Day of Purification." On that day, Madinah will separate the evil people within it just as fire removes impurities from iron. There will be seventy thousand Jews with the Dajjal, each one wearing a special crown and each one having a beautiful sword. He will be killed in the valley where floods gather. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Never has there been a trial so severe since the beginning of the world, nor will there be until the Day of Judgment, as the trial of the Dajjal. Every prophet has warned his nation about this Dajjal, but I will tell you a sign about him which no prophet before me has told his nation. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) placed his hand on his eye and said: I bear witness that Allah Almighty is not one-eyed.
Hadith 12986
وَعَنْ مِحْجَنِ بْنِ الْأَدْرَعِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَطَبَ النَّاسَ فَقَالَ ”يَوْمُ الْخَلَاصِ وَمَا يَوْمُ الْخَلَاصِ يَوْمُ الْخَلَاصِ وَمَا يَوْمُ الْخَلَاصِ يَوْمُ الْخَلَاصِ وَمَا يَوْمُ الْخَلَاصِ“ ثَلَاثًا فَقِيلَ لَهُ وَمَا يَوْمُ الْخَلَاصِ قَالَ ”يَجِيءُ الدَّجَّالُ فَيَصْعَدُ أُحُدًا فَيَنْظُرُ الْمَدِينَةَ فَيَقُولُ لِأَصْحَابِهِ مَا تَرَوْنَ هَذَا الْقَصْرَ الْأَبْيَضَ هَذَا مَسْجِدُ أَحْمَدَ ثُمَّ يَأْتِي الْمَدِينَةَ فَيَجِدُ بِكُلِّ نَقْبٍ مِنْهَا مَلَكًا مُصَلِّتًا فَيَأْتِي سَبْخَةَ الْجُرْفِ فَيَضْرِبُ رُوَاقَهُ ثُمَّ تَرْجُفَ الْمَدِينَةُ ثَلَاثَ رَجَفَاتٍ فَلَا يَبْقَى مُنَافِقٌ وَلَا مُنَافِقَةٌ وَلَا فَاسِقٌ وَلَا فَاسِقَةٌ إِلَّا خَرَجَ إِلَيْهِ فَذَلِكَ يَوْمُ الْخَلَاصِ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mihjan bin Adra’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) delivered a sermon to the people and said: The Day of Deliverance, what is the Day of Deliverance? The Day of Deliverance, what is the Day of Deliverance? The Day of Deliverance, what is the Day of Deliverance? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said this sentence three times. Then someone asked: What is meant by the Day of Deliverance? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Dajjal will come and climb Mount Uhud and, looking towards Madinah Munawwarah, will say to his companions: What do you think of this white palace? This is the mosque of Ahmad (peace and blessings be upon him). Then he will advance towards Madinah, but seeing an angel with a drawn sword at every path of Madinah, he will come to the land of noise and will strike its front part. Then Madinah Munawwarah will shake three times (like an earthquake), and thus every hypocrite and sinful man and woman will come out and go to him. This will be the Day of Deliverance.
Hadith 12987
وَعَنْ أَبِي الْوَدَّاكِ قَالَ قَالَ لِي أَبُو سَعِيدٍ يَعْنِي الْخُدْرِيَّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ هَلْ يُقِرُّ الْخَوَارِجُ بِالدَّجَّالِ فَقُلْتُ لَا فَقَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”إِنِّي خَاتَمُ أَلْفِ نَبِيٍّ وَأَكْثَرَ مَا بُعِثَ نَبِيٌّ يُتَّبَعُ إِلَّا قَدْ حَذَّرَ أُمَّتَهُ الدَّجَّالَ وَإِنِّي قَدْ بُيِّنَ لِي مِنْ أَمْرِهِ مَا لَمْ يُبَيَّنْ لِأَحَدٍ وَإِنَّهُ أَعْوَرُ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ لَيْسَ بِأَعْوَرَ وَعَيْنُهُ الْيُمْنَى عَوْرَاءُ جَاحِظَةٌ وَلَا تَخْفَى كَأَنَّهَا نُخَامَةٌ فِي حَائِطٍ مُجَصَّصٍ وَعَيْنُهُ الْيُسْرَى كَأَنَّهَا كَوْكَبٌ دُرِّيٌّ مَعَهُ مِنْ كُلِّ لِسَانٍ وَمَعَهُ صُورَةُ الْجَنَّةِ خَضْرَاءُ يَجْرِي فِيهَا الْمَاءُ وَصُورَةُ النَّارِ سَوْدَاءُ تَدْخَنُ“
It is narrated from Abu Wadak that Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) said to me: Do the Khawarij acknowledge the appearance of Dajjal? I said: No, they do not. He said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I have come after a thousand, rather more than a thousand, prophets; every prophet who was followed warned his nation about Dajjal, but such signs of Dajjal have been described to me as were not told to any other prophet. (Remember that) Dajjal will be one-eyed, and your Lord is not one-eyed. Dajjal's right eye will be defective and so prominent as if it were a mark of phlegm or sputum on a whitewashed wall, and his left eye will be like a shining star. People speaking every language will be with him. He will have a garden resembling Paradise, in which water will be flowing, and also a black thing resembling Hell, which will be emitting smoke.
Hadith 12988
وَعَنْ سَفِينَةَ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ ”أَلَا إِنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ نَبِيٌّ قَبْلِي إِلَّا وَقَدْ حَذَّرَ الدَّجَّالَ أُمَّتَهُ هُوَ أَعْوَرُ عَيْنِهِ الْيُسْرَى بِعَيْنِهِ الْيُمْنَى ظَفَرَةٌ غَلِيظَةٌ مَكْتُوبٌ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ كَافِرٌ يَخْرُجُ مَعَهُ وَادِيَانِ أَحَدُهُمَا جَنَّةٌ وَالْآخَرُ نَارٌ فَنَارُهُ جَنَّةٌ وَجَنَّتُهُ نَارٌ مَعَهُ مَلَكَانِ مِنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ يَشْبَهَانِ نَبِيَّيْنِ مِنَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ لَوْ شِئْتُ سَمَّيْتُهُمَا بِأَسْمَائِهِمَا وَأَسْمَاءِ آبَائِهِمَا وَاحِدٌ مِنْهُمَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَالْآخَرُ عَنْ شِمَالِهِ وَذَلِكَ فِتْنَةٌ فَيَقُولُ الدَّجَّالُ أَلَسْتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ أَلَسْتُ أُحْيِي وَأُمِيتُ فَيَقُولُ لَهُ أَحَدُ الْمَلَكَيْنِ كَذَبْتَ مَا يَسْمَعُهُ أَحَدٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ إِلَّا صَاحِبُهُ فَيَقُولُ لَهُ صَدَقْتَ فَيَسْمَعُهُ النَّاسُ فَيَظُنُّونَ إِنَّمَا يُصَدِّقُ الدَّجَّالَ وَذَلِكَ فِتْنَةٌ ثُمَّ يَسِيرُ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ الْمَدِينَةَ فَلَا يُوذَنُ لَهُ فِيهَا فَيَقُولُ هَذَا قَرْيَةُ ذَلِكَ الرَّجُلِ ثُمَّ يَسِيرُ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ الشَّامَ فَيُهْلِكُهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عِنْدَ عَقَبَةِ أَفِيقَ“
Mawla of the Messenger, Sayyiduna Safina (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: He says, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) delivered a sermon to us and said: Every prophet who came before me warned his nation about the Dajjal. He will be blind in the left eye, and there will be a thick membrane over his right eye. The word "Kafir" will be written between his eyes. He will have two valleys with him, one his paradise and the other his hell, but in reality, his hell will be paradise and his paradise will be hell. Two angels will be with him, resembling two prophets. If I wish, I can mention their names and the names of their fathers. One will be on his right and the other on his left; this too will be a trial. Dajjal will say to the people: "Am I not your Lord? Am I not capable of giving life and death?" One angel will say: "You are lying." Only the other angel will hear this; none of the people will hear it. Upon hearing this, the other angel will say: "You have spoken the truth." People will hear this, but they will think that the angel is confirming the words of Dajjal. This too will be a trial for the people. Then Dajjal will come towards Madinah Munawwarah, but he will not be allowed to enter Madinah. He will say: "This is the city of that man." Then he will leave from there and reach the land of Syria. Allah Almighty will destroy him there in the valley of Afiq.
Hadith 12989
وَعَنْ جُنَادَةَ بْنِ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ الْأَزْدِيِّ قَالَ ذَهَبْتُ أَنَا وَرَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ إِلَى رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُلْنَا حَدِّثْنَا مَا سَمِعْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَذْكُرُ فِي الدَّجَّالِ وَلَا تُحَدِّثْنَا عَنْ غَيْرِهِ وَإِنْ كَانَ مُصَدَّقًا قَالَ خَطَبَنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ ”أَنْذَرْتُكُمُ الدَّجَّالَ ثَلَاثًا فَإِنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ نَبِيٌّ قَبْلِي إِلَّا قَدْ أَنْذَرَهُ أُمَّتَهُ وَإِنَّهُ فِيكُمْ أَيُّتُهَا الْأُمَّةُ وَإِنَّهُ جَعْدٌ آدَمُ مَمْسُوحُ الْعَيْنِ مَعَهُ جَنَّةٌ وَنَارٌ فَنَارُهُ جَنَّةٌ وَجَنَّتُهُ نَارٌ وَمَعَهُ جَبَلٌ مِنْ خُبْزٍ وَنَهْرٌ مِنْ مَاءٍ وَإِنَّهُ يُمْطِرُ الْمَطَرَ وَلَا يَنْبُتُ الشَّجَرُ وَإِنَّهُ يُسَلَّطُ عَلَى نَفْسٍ فَيَقْتُلُهَا وَلَا يُسَلَّطُ عَلَى غَيْرِهَا وَإِنَّهُ يَمْكُثُ فِي الْأَرْضِ أَرْبَعِينَ صَبَاحًا يَبْلُغُ فِيهَا كُلَّ مَنْهَلٍ وَلَا يَقْرُبُ أَرْبَعَةَ مَسَاجِدَ مَسْجِدَ الْحَرَامِ وَمَسْجِدَ الْمَدِينَةِ وَمَسْجِدَ الطُّورِ وَمَسْجِدَ الْأَقْصَى وَمَا يَشْبَهُ عَلَيْكُمْ فَإِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ لَيْسَ بِأَعْوَرَ“
Junadah bin Abi Umayyah Azdi says: I and an Ansari man went to a companion (may Allah be pleased with him) and we said to him: Tell us a hadith you heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about the Dajjal, which you have not narrated from anyone else, even if it is verified. He said: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave us a sermon and in it he said: I have already warned you about the Dajjal, he repeated this sentence three times. Every prophet before me has warned and cautioned his own nation about him, but O my nation! He will appear among you. His hair will be curly and his complexion wheat-colored, and one of his eyes will be defective. He will have with him a paradise and a hell, but in reality, his hell will be paradise and his paradise will be hell. He will have a mountain of bread and a river of water with him. He will show that he can make it rain, but no trees will grow from it. He will be given the power to kill a man, but apart from this, he will not be given such power. He will spend forty days on the earth and will reach every place, except he will not be able to go near these four mosques: Masjid al-Haram, Masjid an-Nabawi, Masjid Tur, and Masjid al-Aqsa. No matter how many doubts he puts you in, remember that your Lord is not one-eyed.
Hadith 12990
وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ آخَرَ بِنَحْوِهِ ”وَيُسَلَّطُ عَلَى رَجُلٍ فَيَقْتُلُهُ ثُمَّ يُحْيِيهِ وَلَا يُسَلَّطُ عَلَى غَيْرِهِ“
. (Second chain) Similarly, the hadith is narrated, however, in it the words are as follows: The Dajjal will be given power over a man in such a way that after killing him he will be able to bring him back to life, after that he will not be given this kind of power.
Hadith 12991
وَعَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ ”إِنَّ الدَّجَّالَ أَعْوَرُ الْعَيْنِ الشِّمَالِ عَلَيْهَا ظَفَرَةٌ غَلِيظَةٌ مَكْتُوبٌ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ كَافِرٌ أَوْ قَالَ كُفْرٌ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The Dajjal will be blind in the left eye, there will be a thick film over that eye, and between his eyes will be written "Kafir" or "Kufr".
Hadith 12992
وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ آخَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ ”الدَّجَّالُ أَعْوَرُ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ لَيْسَ بِأَعْوَرَ مَكْتُوبٌ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ كَافِرٌ يَقْرَؤُهُ كُلُّ مُؤْمِنٍ كَاتِبٌ وَغَيْرُ كَاتِبٍ“
(Second chain) The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The Dajjal will be one-eyed, and your Lord is not one-eyed. Between his eyes will be written "Kafir" (disbeliever), which every literate and illiterate believer will read.
Hadith 12993
وَعَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”إِنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ نَبِيٌّ إِلَّا وَصَفَ الدَّجَّالَ لِأُمَّتِهِ وَلَأَصِفَنَّهُ صِفَةً لَمْ يَصِفْهَا أَحَدٌ كَانَ قَبْلِي إِنَّهُ أَعْوَرُ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَيْسَ بِأَعْوَرَ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Every prophet described the attributes of the Dajjal to warn his nation, but I will describe a characteristic of his which no prophet has described before me, and that is that he will be one-eyed, and indeed Allah, the Exalted, is not one-eyed.
Hadith 12994
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلُهُ تَمَامًا وَزَادَ بَعْدَ قَوْلِهِ ”لَيْسَ بِأَعْوَرَ عَيْنُهُ الْيُمْنَى كَأَنَّهَا عِنَبَةٌ طَافِيَةٌ“
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) has also narrated a similar hadith from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), however, after the words "he will be one-eyed," he has added these words: His right eye will be like a protruding grape in a cluster.
Hadith 12995
وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا قَالَ قَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي النَّاسِ وَأَثْنَى عَلَى اللَّهِ بِمَا هُوَ أَهْلُهُ فَذَكَرَ الدَّجَّالَ فَقَالَ ”إِنِّي لَأُنْذِرُكُمُوهُ وَمَا مِنْ نَبِيٍّ إِلَّا أَنْذَرَهُ قَوْمَهُ لَقَدْ أَنْذَرَهُ نُوحٌ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ قَوْمَهُ وَلَكِنْ سَأَقُولُ لَكُمْ فِيهِ قَوْلًا لَمْ يَقُلْهُ نَبِيٌّ لِقَوْمِهِ تَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهُ أَعْوَرُ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى لَيْسَ بِأَعْوَرَ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood among the people, praised and glorified Allah as is His due, and then said: I warn you about that Dajjal, and every prophet has warned his people about him. Prophet Nuh (peace be upon him) also warned his people about him. But I will tell you something about him which no prophet has told his nation: you should know that he is one-eyed, and Allah Almighty is not one-eyed.
Hadith 12996
وَعَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ الْجَرَّاحِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ ”إِنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ نَبِيٌّ بَعْدَ نُوحٍ إِلَّا وَقَدْ أَنْذَرَ الدَّجَّالَ قَوْمَهُ وَإِنِّي أُنْذِرْكُمُوهُ“ قَالَ فَوَصَفَهُ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ قَالَ ”وَلَعَلَّهُ يُدْرِكُهُ بَعْضُ مَنْ رَآنِي أَوْ سَمِعَ كَلَامِي“ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ قُلُوبُنَا يَوْمَئِذٍ أَمِثْلُهَا الْيَوْمَ قَالَ ”أَوْ خَيْرٌ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Ubaidah bin Jarrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Every prophet who came after Noah (peace be upon him) warned his people about the Dajjal, and I am also informing you about him. Then, while telling us about him, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is possible that someone who sees me or hears my words may encounter him. The companions asked: O Messenger of Allah! What will be the state of our hearts in those days? Will it be like it is today? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Or even better than this?
Hadith 12997
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ عِكْرَمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي الدَّجَّالِ ”أَعْوَرُ هِجَانٌ أَزْهَرُ كَأَنَّ رَأْسَهُ أَصَلَةٌ أَشْبَهُ النَّاسِ بِعَبْدِ الْعُزَّى بْنِ قَطَنٍ فَأَمَّا هَلَكَ الْهُلَّكُ فَإِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ تَعَالَى لَيْسَ بِأَعْوَرَ“ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ فَحَدَّثْتُ بِهِ قَتَادَةَ فَحَدَّثَنِي بِنَحْوٍ مِنْ هَذَا
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding the Dajjal: He will be one-eyed, his complexion will be bright white, his head will be like that of a venomous snake that kills with its breath, he will most resemble among the people ‘Abdul ‘Uzza bin Qatan, and if those who are to perish because of his doubts begin to perish, then remember that your Lord is not one-eyed. Imam Shu’bah says: When I narrated this very hadith to Imam Qatadah, he also narrated a similar hadith to me.
Hadith 12998
وَعَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”لَقَدْ أَكَلَ الطَّعَامَ وَمَشَى فِي الْأَسْوَاقِ يَعْنِي الدَّجَّالَ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imran bin Husain, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The Dajjal will eat food (like people) and will walk in the markets.
Hadith 12999
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”رَأَيْتُ عِنْدَ الْكَعْبَةِ مِمَّا يَلِي وَجْهَهَا رَجُلًا آدَمَ سَبْطَ الرَّأْسِ وَاضِعًا يَدَهُ عَلَى رَجُلَيْنِ يَسْكُبُ رَأْسُهُ أَوْ يَقْطُرُ رَأْسُهُ فَقُلْتُ مَنْ هَذَا فَقَالُوا عِيسَى بْنُ مَرْيَمَ أَوِ الْمَسِيحُ بْنُ مَرْيَمَ وَرَأَيْتُ وَرَاءَهُ رَجُلًا أَعْوَرَ عَيْنِ الْيُمْنَى جَعْدَ الرَّأْسِ أَشْبَهُ مَنْ رَأَيْتُ بِهِ ابْنَ قَطَنٍ فَقُلْتُ مَنْ هَذَا قَالُوا الْمَسِيحُ الدَّجَّالُ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: I saw a man near the door of the Ka'bah, his complexion was wheat-colored, his hair was slightly curly, and he was resting his hand on two men. Drops of water were falling from his head. I asked: Who is this? The angels said: This is Isa ibn Maryam, peace be upon him. Then I saw another man behind him, he was blind in his right eye and his hair was curly. Of the people I have seen, Ibn Qatan resembles him the most. I asked: Who is this? They said: This is the Messiah Dajjal.
Hadith 13000
وَعَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَالَ كُنَّا عِنْدَ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فَذَكَرُوا الدَّجَّالَ فَقَالُوا إِنَّهُ مَكْتُوبٌ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ ك ف ر قَالَ مَا تَقُولُونَ قَالَ يَقُولُونَ مَكْتُوبٌ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ ك ف ر قَالَ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ لَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ قَالَ ذَلِكَ وَلَكِنْ قَالَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”أَمَّا إِبْرَاهِيمُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فَانْظُرُوا إِلَى صَاحِبِكُمْ وَأَمَّا مُوسَى فَرَجُلٌ آدَمُ جَعْدٌ عَلَى جَمَلٍ أَحْمَرَ مَخْطُومٍ بِخُلْبَةٍ كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِ إِذَا انْحَدَرَ فِي الْوَادِي يُلَبِّي“
Mujahid says: We were sitting with Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) when people started discussing Dajjal and said: The letters K F R will be written between his eyes, that is, on his forehead. Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) asked: What are you saying? They said: We are saying that K F R will be written between his eyes. Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I have not heard this from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), but he (peace and blessings be upon him) did say: If you want to see Ibrahim (peace be upon him), then look at me, and Musa (peace be upon him) was wheat-colored and had curly hair. I see him descending into the valley, riding a red camel with a bridle made of palm fibers, reciting the Talbiyah.
Hadith 13001
وَعَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ”إِنِّي قَدْ حَدَّثْتُكُمْ عَنِ الدَّجَّالِ حَتَّى خَشِيتُ أَنْ لَا تَعْقِلُوا، إِنَّ مَسِيحَ الدَّجَّالِ رَجُلٌ قَصِيرٌ أَفْحَجُ جَعْدٌ أَعْوَرُ مَطْمُوسُ الْعَيْنَيْنِ لَيْسَ بِنَاتِئَةٍ وَلَا حَجْزَاءَ فَإِنْ أُلْبِسَ عَلَيْكُمْ“ قَالَ يَزِيدُ (أَحَدُ الرُّوَاةِ): ”رَبُّكُمْ، فَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ رَبَّكُمْ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى لَيْسَ بِأَعْوَرَ وَإِنَّكُمْ لَنْ تَرَوْا رَبَّكُمْ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى حَتَّى تَمُوتُوا“ قَالَ يَزِيدُ: ”تَرَوْا رَبَّكُمْ حَتَّى تَمُوتُوا“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna ‘Ubada bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: I have already informed you about the Dajjal, but I fear that perhaps you may not recognize him. (Remember that) the Messiah Dajjal will be of short stature, the front part of his feet will be close together and his heels will be far apart, his hair will be curly, his eye will be so deformed that it will be neither protruding nor sunken. If, despite this, the matter becomes confusing for you, then know that your Lord is not one-eyed, and you cannot see Allah Almighty before you die.
